When a truck buyer asks for a non-standard configuration, sales engineers need to know quickly whether something similar has already been built and how often such requests turned into orders. SEADEV built a proof of concept that loads historical pre-order requests, with their option lists and free-text special requests, and uses AI to turn the free text into structured characteristics that can be compared. Given one order, the tool finds the closest past orders by comparing their option sets and shows what share of those neighbours went on to produce orders. Analysts can also compare two orders side by side with an AI-written summary of the differences, and ask questions of the data in plain language. The proof of concept was demonstrated to the client's team in April 2026.
